Mayor of Kableshkovo categorical: Get ready! There will be a referendum on the stone quarry! 

There will be areferendum on the investment plan for a stone quarry in Kableshkovo . The mayor of the town, Ivaylo Ivanov , is adamant in a post on Facebook.

He announced that next Monday – November 11, will be held an extraordinary meeting of the City Council on the issue. According to the mayor, however, the decision will be firmly in favor of holding a local referendum.

Ivaylo Ivanov also announced that on 4 November he had submitted a petition from the citizens of Kableshkovo to the Ministry of Energy . It was signed by 2009 people in just a few days.

The petition is against the construction of a quarry for the extraction of construction materials on „ Malka Biberna-South “ . In addition, the town mayor has sent the energy department the minutes of the town meeting and the town hall’s strong opinion against this investment plan .

Despite the serious public discontent as Iskra.bg only reported the owner and manager of the Varna company that wants to do the quarry for the extraction of building materials Angel Dermendjiev is adamant that he will not give up his intention. The decision was up to the institutions.
